| I began photographing the Aurora Borealis in the North East of Scotland in September 1989. Since then I have photographed over 300 Northern Light displays, giving a comprehensive coverage of all aspects of the phenomena. It is probably the largest library of Scottish Aurora photographs in existence. Selections of my photos of the Aurora are available to buy through Crooktree.com, Alamy and Collections. In 1996, I and a friend and colleague, John MacNicol published a book through Crooktree Images entitled ‘The Aurora—An Introduction for Photographers and Observers’. It is only the second dedicated book on the subject published in the UK. | The bulk of my Aurora Collection is on Fuji Provia 1600 35mm chrome stock and amounts to several thousand images. Some of my most recent images are now mainly using a Fuji S2/S3 DSLR type digital camera and I am very pleased with the quality of the results. Dupe’s and prints are available as well as authoritative text on the subject if required. Any of the photos featured or others from my collection are available for sale. |
