KILDRUMMY CASTLE

These photographs are of Kildrummy Castle in Strathdon, near the River Don in Aberdeenshire near the hamlet of the Kirkton of Kildrummy. The ruins are preserved under the care of Historic Scotland and are open to the public for part of the year. Nearby is a picturesque garden built underneath the castle ramparts, with a replica of the Balgownie Bridge that crosses the River Don at Aberdeen and a very traditional Aberdeenshire country hotel.
